CleanScanner does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your documents never leave your device.
CleanScanner is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app:
All document scanning and PDF creation happens entirely on your device. Your scanned documents are never uploaded to any server or cloud service by CleanScanner.
When you use the share function, you control where your documents go through iOS's native sharing system.
CleanScanner requires camera access to scan documents. The camera is used solely for this purpose. No images or video are stored or transmitted by the app beyond what you explicitly choose to save or share.
CleanScanner uses Sentry for crash reporting to help improve app stability. When a crash occurs, an anonymous crash log is sent to help diagnose and fix issues. This crash log:
The only other external connection is to Apple's App Store for processing in-app purchases, which is handled entirely by Apple according to their privacy policy.
CleanScanner does not maintain a permanent database of your documents. Scanned pages are held temporarily in memory during your scanning session and are discarded when you close the app or start a new scan.
